Located next door to the hotel at Dancing Dragon Cottages, the Bali Mandala Conference Centre has been designed by Karen Kingston especially for meditation and yoga groups, weddings, conferences, seminars and workshops.

The upper floor is octagonal in shape and measures 240 square meters (2580 square feet), with a capacity of up to 120 people seated theatre-style.

Facilities
Fitted with state of the art fly-screens to the French doors, fresh ocean breezes ensure that the space is cool and well ventilated.

The room is also fitted with near-silent air-conditioning if required, and we have a powerful back-up generator in case of electrical power cuts.

Beautiful cream-coloured marble flooring and 4-meter high walls topped by a towering 21-meter high thatched bamboo roof rising to a pinnacle at the centre to create a unique space for any event.

Karen in the past has scoured the globe looking for meeting spaces with great feng shui and superb amenities in which to teach her workshops, and now she has finally built one in Bali herself.

Equipped with comfortable meditation mats and cushions as well as conventional conference tables and comfortable seating, the venue has been designed so that it can easily be adapted to a variety of different types of meetings.

It can also be decorated in ornate palm leaves and flowers to create a memorable Balinese-style venue for wedding ceremonies and receptions, birthday parties, and other special occasions.

In short, it has all the facilities of the West, all the charm and beauty of Bali, and a very wide range of possible uses.

The lower floor is approximately 200 square meters (2150 square feet), and is ideal as an open dining area or yoga space.

Catering
Dancing Dragon Cottages has a reputation for providing the finest catering in the whole of East Bali, and many of our guests have commented that our specialty buffet lunches and dinners rank among the best food they have eaten anywhere in the world.

We can create a truly memorable banquet for you, and can even cater for special diets such as vegetarian, wheat- or sugar-free.

Speciality buffet lunches & dinners

A full bar service is available upon request. Alcoholic drinks may be consumed on the lower floor but may not be taken upstairs to the meeting room.

Bathroom block
A bathroom block consisting of 9 toilets is also located at ground floor level, adjacent to the meeting room. Decorated in luxurious cream and Java rosso marble, it overlooks terraced flower gardens with beautiful Balinese statues and ocean views.

Parking
We have entensive off-street parking, suitable for both cars and buses. There is no charge for parking.

Staff
Our attentive staff will be in hand to make sure every part of your event runs smoothly.

NOTE: We ask all guests to do as the Balinese do, and remove their shoes before entering the Bali Mandala building. Stiletto heels may not be worn in any part of the building as they can damage the marble flooring.

The octagonal shape of the Bali Mandala meeting room lends itself to many different set-ups: Circular, horse-shoe shape, classroom-style with tables, theatre-style, open floor, and so on. We have tables and comfortable, padded, stackable chairs.

We can also provide additional facilities on request such as flip chart and pens, stage, speaker's chair, paper & pens, and a sophisticated PA system with a choice of microphones - hand held, lapel or headset.

Amed is famous in Bali as a honeymoon destination, so why not marry there too? We are partnered with Bali Weddings International, a member of the Association for Wedding Professionals International, who are skilled at making all the legal and ceremonial arrangements for marriages in Bali.

Owned and operated by an Australian citizen married to an Indonesian, they have been creating beautiful wedding and renewal of vows ceremonies in Bali since 1992. Let us know your preferred date and requirements and we will jointly make all the preparations for you.

If you require exclusive use of our entire property for the duration of your event (meaning the hotel will be closed during that time to any other guests or visitors to our restaurant), this is available at an extra surcharge.

If your party is larger than the number of hotel bedrooms we have available, we will be happy to make arrangements for your guests to stay in other hotels nearby, and we have a fleet of private cars and a 14-seater bus that can be hired at very reasonable rates to transport them around.

Enjoy superb international cuisine and a riveting performance in our octagonal Bali Mandala Conference Centre by the hotel's renowned Gong & Genjek Group, famous for its unique 360-degree surround-sound finale (genjek is a special Balinese-style of acappella). This is our most popular entertainment, and it's unique to Dancing Dragon Cottages. You will not find it anywhere else in Bali.
